Having said that, this company contacted you so they must need something specific. I would bid your job based on the time it will take you + your expenses, then estimate an hourly wage. So, the question is what does a good programmer earn where you live? I'd do something like this-- est. time to complete templates= 20 hour (or whatever) X $80.00/ hour = $1600 + training (100)= 1700 + mileage = $1850.
