   I guess what you are asking is how to document a project…

   Following are the documents required to be prepared for any software project.

   1. Requirements Capture
   2. SRS
   3. HLD (High Level Design)
   4. LLD (Low Level Design)

   For a university project, I guess SRS would suffice. Search on for a sample SRS template. That will help you.
