What is the stress level of an entry level software quality assurance technician?

What would a realistic salary range be? I have about 6 months of website development project management and software quality assurance experience.

I live in the Midwest and I have a B.S. from a state university with a 3.2 GPA

QA is the red-headed step-child of industry, and the software industry is no exception. Software QA can be very stressful at times, because it often stands in the way of letting a defective product hit the street, when many careers are hanging on the product development completing on time and under budget. QA sometimes becomes the scapegoat for bugs discovered after release. Add to this the sad fact that QA specialists are paid less than coders with equivalent experience, so the work doesn’t really invite the top talent in the field. Don’t get me started on the subject of SWQA. LOL!!!

Is SAP project system training a right route towards SAP project management?

I am a senior software analyst (IT) with ample experience in project life cycle activities, including few project management activities. I want to shift to project management. Am considering to move to SAP. Currently Siemens SAP-PS training is available. They mentioned that I will be getting a certificate as an Application Associate-Project System and I will be starting as an Associate Consultant. All I understand is project system will help me in learning about planning, budgeting, reporting tasks – all related to project management in SAP.

I am concerned about few things:
1) Will I be wasting my 5+ years of experience and starting at the bottom of SAP career ladder – "Application Associate" certificate sounds like the beginners certificate. Is it so? (I saw that consultant jobs in project system mention minimum 3 years of experience in project system)
2) Is there any other certificate training in SAP where I can use my earlier experience and join at my level of execution?

In my opinion, you are confusing the overall requirements of managing SAP projects with a single module of system functionality called "Project System". Your logic does not seem to be well thought out.

If you want to develop skills and knowledge that would empower you to move into enterprise system implementation project management, then immersing yourself into a functional module of SAP would not be the best way to go. The Project System module, however valuable it may be for companies/organizations that implement PS as part of their enterprise solution, do not generally use SAP’s PS module for managing the implementation of an SAP system. Most system integrators have a blend of their own internally-developed toolsets that they use for system implementations, while the Project System module is just one of many business/functional modules that could be implemented as part of an overall ERP project using SAP as its platform.

If you want to become an SAP functional consultant with an expertise in Project System, then the training you referred in your question may be of value. If you are hoping to learn more and prepare yourself to be a project manager who focuses on ERP system implementations, then the training would be of little value.

This is my sole opinion, so I welcome the comments of others.

I think the exhilist is a list that will exclude certain common tasks from your project scope. It’s not an official term by the way. How should I write this out?

BACKGROUND: A window display that costed around $65 to make. The display was about Business Management Associated degree containing courses you’ll have to take, job careers you could get the degree and an example of a sucessful BM’s student from the school in the years past.
