Need a good source for high quality woodwork project plans, can anybody help?

i really like wood, building home made furniture and just about anything, i’m not a handyman but i really enjoy trying new things.

i don’t mind paying to get high quality woodwork project plans. i looked around and found allot of free woodwork project plans that weren’t that good.
any help i can get to were can i get detailed woodwork project plans will be appreciated

The way I’ve heard the term used refers to the actual location of the project. This can mean the specific area of a room to the location in the city where the project is taking place, depending on how you limit the setting in the specifications. Hope this helps.

How important is your graphics card when doing video editing and rendering?

I need to buy a new Mac system for video editing with Final Cut Pro. I plan to edit professional-level quality projects on this machine. An iMac is much more cheaper than the Mac Pro but the tradeoff is that you can’t expand it or upgrade it’s video card. The vid card it comes with is decent but I’m trying to think of the long term. So my question is, how important is a video card to doing video editing and rendering, and probably some graphics work as well. Thank you!

well the latest apple macbooks are very good in their graphics department. i have used a mac pro (early 2010) and my macbook pro (late 2009) stands pretty good against it. video card is important when it comes to rendering the movie and the exporting depending on the size and lenght of the video you are working on. but you could get any of the macbook pros (depending on your likeness of size of the laptop and budget, the bigger they are the more stuff they have) not only because you can take the laptop anywhere but because they are very strong and durable machines. ive had mine and edited movies as long as one hour and i havent had a problem. best of luck with your decision.

Where can I find a good quality (realistic) flash animation of a waterfall?

I’m putting on a dinner, and was planning on projecting a flash animation of a waterfall on a wall, to create a more ‘natural’ setting. However, I can’t find any good animations that are high quality and without watermark.

Does anyone know where I can find one online?

Can I become a graphic artist with a graphic art production diploma?

I am signing up for college and I am looking up courses for Graphic Art, because that is what I intend on being, but it is’nt very clear if the GRAPHIC DESIGN PRODUCTION (2 year course) will allow me to be a graphic artist? It goes on saying "Graduates will provide clients with all or some of the following services: advertising, art directing, coordination, costing, design and aesthetic judgement, desktop publishing, illustration, image production, planning, project management, quality control and research. Graduates may specialize in one or more of these media: audio visual, electronic, exhibit/display, multi-media, print, packaging, or signage. Students are student members of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD Ontario)." But it says nothing about being an actual graphic designer…. can anyone help me?

I would assume so, but I’m no expert.

Your question opens a wide field: relationship of software engineering and project management.
For large software development projects, or IT projects in general, the typical linear project management approach (represented by the "waterfall model") seems to be inappropriate. IT project management rather follows the "spiral model", although many steps of project planning are applicable in both models.

Quality Calculation Methods?

Hi I am working in a company where we want to set up quality parameters for a new project we have planned a method which is not that much encouraging

For e.g. We have 28 set fields for quality and if an agent does not meets 1 set his quality will be 27 when we calculate the quality by using No. of RFT after error(27)/Total number of set fields * 100

27/28*100= 96.24% Quality which is less than the benchmarlk of 99% Please can you all input your comments how to do better quality to meet benchmark of 99%

I think you should mark the deviation and lastly add all and calculate the percentage. This way if a product is just below average in one field but exceptionnally well in others will also get selected.

Nothing done by people is ever perfect.
There is a famous poem that went something like the following.
The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray.
I am not saying that the plans were followed. I was not part of the project. I believe in using SQA plans but they are not a silver bullet. What I am saying is that you have not eliminated all other causes of the problems.
Russian spies have recently been found in the USA. I do not mean to leave the impression that this is the reason for the problems. I am only raising this to point out that there remain other reasons.

People that call The Venus Project a "utopia" or talk about "human nature" don’t know what they are talking about. Watch this 15 minute video (in 3 parts) and then try to use arguments like "there is no such thing as utopia" and "it’s against human nature":

In the world of The Venus Project (TVP), there are no leaders or governments making decisions. We’ve tried that for thousands of years and history has shown shown humans are too fallible and that leadership always leads to corruption. The more power, the greater the temptation for corruption. If you don’t understand how society can operate without leaders and governments, then you haven’t learned enough about TVP.

TVP will not be forced on anyone. People don’t need to get defensive about their love for the "stuff" they’ve amassed. Nothing like TVP has ever been attempted before. Read that Wiki link about the "Road to Serfdom" book. It begins:

The Road to Serfdom is a book written by the Austrian-born economist and philosopher Friedrich von Hayek between 19401943, in which he "warned of the danger of tyranny that inevitably results from government control of economic decision-making through central planning," and in which he argues that the abandonment of individualism, liberalism, and freedom inevitably leads to socialist or fascist oppression and tyranny and the serfdom of the individual.

That doesn’t describe TVP at all. In fact, it quite closely resembles the path with world is on with our current governments "stimulus spending" and "bail-outs of corporations that are too big to fail", meanwhile taking away people’s rights and freedoms in the name of the constant "War on Terror" (going on 10 years now, do you feel safer?).

Implications trying to associate TVP with eugenics is fear-mongering. No supporters of TVP would ever agree to eugenics and such practices are certainly not needed.

Certainly the rich and powerful will not sit back and let the world transition to a resource based economy like TVP. They would certainly lose control and would become regular people, just like the rest of us. Thankfully, we’ve got the numbers on our side. Less than 15 of the world’s population is them, and the rest is us. As soon as we get tired of playing the rat-race game they created for us, we can shape the world however we want.

Of course, the hard part is getting the word out there and opening people’s minds. At this stage, there is enormous resistance. Everyone complains about their lives and society and governments and the tragedies around the world, yet as soon as people start talking about changing the world for the good of everyone, they dig their heels in and stand-tall for that same system they will continue to complain endlessly about.
